Education Room

The Education Room provides a flexible space for meetings and events. The space regularly hosts school groups, lectures/talks, messy play sessions, adult creative workshops and coffee mornings. Situated on the first floor at the back of the museum, the room provides a private space away from the galleries with your own facilities. The room is fully accessible via a level access door and a lift.

Layout and Capacities:

Cabaret: 12
Attendees are seated at tables and the side facing the projector screen will be left empty so that everyone can see what is being displayed. This is very popular where groups may be required to work together during the event.

Boardroom: 15
A single table that is large enough to seat all attendees around. Most suited to groups where there is likely to be plenty of discussions.

Theatre: 30
Chairs are placed in rows. The theatre layout is the best option for maximising capacity in the room. 

Workshop: 15 – 20
Smaller tables around the room without the focus on a screen/projector. This allows groups to work together, also giving the opportunity for movement between tables.

Additional Information:

Refreshments:

Water jugs and glasses are provided as standard for meetings. Tea, coffee and biscuits can be provided, please discuss your requirements when booking.
