Chippenham Town Hall is an architectural gem in the heart of the town centre dating back to 1834.
It plays a major role in the life of the Town and of the Town Council. It is where we hold our council meetings and civic functions and is the venue for many meetings, exhibitions, conferences and events throughout the year.
The Town Hall is a beautiful air-conditioned room, tastefully decorated in red and cream, which can seat up to 140 people for a formal meal or 200 for a corporate conference. Catering and bar facilities are adjacent to the hall. The large windows allow plenty of natural light, whilst the beautiful chandeliers add a touch of elegance.

A day in the life of our Environmental Services Team.
We have a dedicated team who work hard to keep the town clean and tidy. Their responsibilities are varied, but did you know they include maintaining a section of the river route, checking and preparing the Christmas lights for installation, and they make by hand, the Pop Up Park in market place?

There are two free tennis sessions remaining this year, led by an LTA - Tennis For Britain licensed coach and experienced assistants.
Taking place on Saturday 29 August and Saturday 5 September, the sessions are a great opportunity for the Chippenham community to give tennis a go, get active and enjoy some time on the court, completely free of charge.
Whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time or looking to build your skills, everyone is welcome. The sessions are suitable for a range of ages and abilities, and all equipment is provided. Simply bring a water bottle and get ready to play!
Families are welcome to take part together. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
