The Town Hall plays a major role in the life of the town and of the town council. It is where we hold our council meetings and civic functions and is the venue for many meetings, exhibitions, conferences and events throughout the year. It is also a superb venue that can be hired and is licensed for wedding ceremonies offering a beautifully, elegant, period location for your marriage. Located on the first floor of our Town Hall complex in the High Street, it is the most elegant of our rooms.
This beautiful air conditioned room, tastefully decorated in red and cream, can seat up to 140 people for a formal meal or 200 for a corporate conference. Catering and bar facilities are adjacent to the hall. The large windows allow plenty of natural light, whilst the beautiful chandeliers add a touch of elegance.
