In 2021 we will celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the end of the war in Europe. 76 years ago, millions of people took to the streets to celebrate peace and to look forward to a brighter future. This show brings you the songs heard at those parties, songs that won the war, good old-fashioned singalongs and beautiful ballads.
The show includes a tribute to the late Dame Vera Lynn, the Nations’ Sweetheart, with songs including ‘When the Lights Go on Again’ , ‘A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square’, ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ and of course ‘The White Cliffs of Dover’. We can ‘Meet The Gang’ as we take you back to the ENSA concert party days, with songs from Arthur Askey, Gracie Fields and Flanagan and Allen to name a few.
There is a good old fashioned knees up where you can singalong to ‘Roll Out the Barrel’, ‘Side by Side’, ‘Let’s All Go Down the Strand’, ‘Knees Up Mother Brown’ and ‘Lambeth Walk’, amongst others. We will pay a respectful tribute to our Fallen Heroes, and there is a flag waving Last Night of the Proms Finale, including ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘There’ll Always Be An England’.
The show is performed by Award Winning vocalists with incredible voices and amazing harmonies. With the sound of laughter and a magical touch, this feel-good show will lift your spirits and leave you with a smile on your face.
