Consultation for the rules regarding dogs in John Coles Park
In January 2021, Chippenham Town Council’s Amenities, Culture and Leisure Committee agreed to conduct a public survey to ascertain the preference from our local community on the rules regarding dogs in John Coles Park.
The consultation ran from 1 July 2021 and closed on 1 August 2021. We produced an online survey and in addition to the online survey, a paper copy was available from Customer Services at the Town Hall and the Refreshment Kiosk in John Coles Park. We also conducted face to face surveys in John Coles Park on three randomly selected days at three different times; this was to ensure we captured data from park visitors who may not have access to online resources or individuals that are previously not aware of the consultation taking place.
The data collected from the survey will be presented at the Amenities, Culture and Leisure Committee on Wednesday 8 September 2021 and will help towards informing the Committee members on their decision regarding dogs on lead in John Coles Park.
