Budget 2022/23

At a meeting of Full Council on 12 January 2022, the Leader of the Council, Councillor Desna Allen introduced a report, which the Director of Resources presented to Council regarding the Income & Expenditure and Capital/Ear Marked Funds budgets for 2022/23 for consideration and adoption, and for Councillors to agree the Precept for the next financial year.

Full Council discussed the options enclosed in the report and agreed to adopt the Income & Expenditure Budget for 2022/23 and approved that a Precept of £3,606,289 be raised for 2022/23.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Desna Allen said of the decision,
“Full Council agreed a sensible and proportionate budget for 2022/23 which will ensure services and facilities continue for the local community with a minimal increase to the Precept which is below the rate of inflation.”

For the forthcoming financial year 2022/23 the Precept cost for a Band D household will be £280.53 per annum which is an increase of £0.19 per week.
