Muddy Boots Group finish sessions in the Sensory Garden at John Coles Park
Since June 2021 we have been joined by Alzheimer’s Support Wiltshire Group “Muddy Boots” in the Sensory Garden at John Coles Park once a month for a session full of gardening followed by a refreshment and opportunity to socialise.
Muddy Boots groups offer a chance for those with dementia to get outdoors and enjoy nature through gardening, wildlife and interacting with animals in a safe environment.
We would like to thank the local group, whose last session for 2021 was Wednesday 15 September for their hard work and helping the Environmental Services team in John Coles Park by weeding and pruning the flower beds in the Sensory Garden, alongside general maintenance and painting.
