My name is Nina Phillips and I have represented Redland Ward
since 1999 on the Town Council. For ten years I was a District
Councillor on North Wilts District Council also representing
Redland Ward but since 2009 I have been a Unitary Councillor on
Wiltshire Council representing Cepen Park North & Redlands
Division.
I hold three Advice Surgeries a month at different venues: the
West End Club, Brewers Fare on Saturdays and the Redland Credit
Union on one Thursday a month. This enables me to cover my Division
and Ward constituents so they don't have far to walk or drive to
discuss issues with me.
I have produced "Nina's News" newsletter which is delivered to
all doors at least three times a year since I was first
elected.
In addition, I am a Westlea Housing Association tenant. My
interests include Housing, helping people and general knowledge so
I am a member of a quiz team. I completed the first Doorway
SleepOut in order to highlight the plight of the homeless.
The main Chippenham Town Council Committees I am on are Strategy
& Resources and Planning & Environment. The sub-committees
are the Town Planning Steering Group and the Urgent Matters
sub-committee. I am Vice Chairman of the Parish, Town and Wiltshire
Council Public Transport Group which I attend as part of my
Chippenham Town Council duties
