Rescheduled: Renewable Energy Strategy Workshops

27th November 2019 / News, News-HP

The Neighbourhood Plan is offering the community a chance to have a say on what sort of renewable energy developments it would like, where it would like them, and what criteria they must meet in order for planning permission to be given.

Renewable Energy Strategy workshops will be held at Chippenham Town Hall and organised by the Centre for Sustainable Energy

The first workshop will be held on Saturday 15th February 2020 (9.30am-4.30pm). This will be followed by a 2hr evening weekday workshop (date tbc) to bring together views after everyone has had a chance to think about and discuss outcomes from the workshop with other people. Tickets for the follow-up workshop will be released after the 15th February workshop event has taken place.

The event is free to attend for a maximum of 20 participants, but is ticketed. Participants should be able to attend both events. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and are available through Eventbrite.

The workshops will be highly participative. Coffee, tea and a light lunch will be provided.

Project Outputs:

• Annotated map indicating favoured locations for particular technologies

• Report summarising discussions and notes from the workshops with favoured criteria for renewable energy policies
