Presentation on plans for Showell Nurseries

Land at Showell Nurseries is allocated for development as part of the Chippenham Site Allocations Plan, adopted in May 2017. Taylor Wimpey are in the process of submitting an outline planning application for up to 120 homes on the brownfield Showell Nurseries site.

The site is being designed to link to the wider Rowden Park plans and currently include:

  • Up to 120 homes with associated car parking;
  • 40% affordable homes including social rent, shared ownership and starter homes;
  • New landscaped open space for existing and new residents;
  • A children’s play area;
  • Pedestrian and cycle links to Rowden Park;
  • Retention of existing trees and vegetation wherever possible;
  • Additional planting to filter views of the development and respect the countryside setting;
  • Vehicle access from Patterdown
