The Mayor’s Office - The Mayor is:
Councillor John Scragg
I am delighted to have been chosen by Chippenham Town Council to be the Town Mayor for 2014/15. During the coming year I will be meeting people from many of the voluntary and other organisations who do so much to promote the well-being of the town’s people and vitality of the town’s cultural and commercial life. I will represent Chippenham in other parts of Wiltshire and perhaps further afield, and will, most likely, attend events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and the 70th anniversary of D Day. But in the spirit of maintaining and developing international friendships and supporting Chippenham Twinning Association, I look forward to greeting our friends from Friedberg in Germany when they visit the town in September and also look forward to a visit from our friends in La Fleche in France during 2015 following a visit by people from Chippenham to the French town in May of this year.
