Fees & Charges - 2008/09
The fees, payments and sums set out below apply where the person to be interred is, or in respect of whom the right is granted is, or before his/her death was, an inhabitant or parishioner of the Town Council.
All fees, payments and sums due, at any time, for non-parishioners are doubled, except where the Exclusive Right of Burial in the grave or vault was acquired at the single fee.
However, in special circumstances the Town Clerk, upon receipt of an application in writing, may waive the rule for double fees to be paid in respect of the interment of a former inhabitant or parishioner of Chippenham. The determining of any such application shall be entirely at the discretion of the Town Clerk.
Please note that all fees for burials at weekends, Bank Holidays or out of normal hours (subject to staff availability) are doubled.
Exclusive Rights of Burial in Earthen Grave
a. For the exclusive right of burial for a term of 99 years:

Where the interment is that of a still-born child or a child whose age at the time of death did not exceed 12 months.

Miscellaneous
For the use of the chapel for a service prior to interment (not subject to VAT) is £65.00.
General conditions
A 25% administration charge will be applied to refunds of previously purchased burial plots.
