Salary up to £57,397 + essential user allowance £1,239

Chippenham is one of the largest town councils operating in the first tier of local government, in fact we operate in a similar manner to a small district council. We have a population of c40,000, a revenue budget of c£4M and we have over 75 staff and 70 volunteers. We operate in a county unitary setting with no district or borough councils. We have working relationships with a wide range of town partners including the principal authority Wiltshire Council.

This is a great opportunity to join the Chief Executive and Director of Resources to form part of the Corporate Management Team, with both directors having deputy status to the Chief Executive and working closely with
Councillors. It is therefore important that you are a good team player with
a one team ethos. You will lead a wide range of front line services, including Environmental Services, Leisure Services, Heritage and Museum Services and Venue Services, you will also have lead responsibility for Health and Safety, the Council’s property management functions and the development of the Chippenham Neighbourhood Plan.

Head of Leisure Services
Salary up to £36,867

This is a great opportunity to become part of our Extended Corporate Management Team and manage one of Wiltshire’s largest outdoor sporting venues, Stanley Park Sports Ground.
This position will be responsible for coordinating and promoting use of the facility, providing an inclusive sports programme and ensuring a safe and high quality experience for all venue visitors and service users.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised and flexible with excellent management and inter-personal skills to work effectively with Councillors, staff, external organisations and the community.

Grounds Person  (Stanley Park Sports Ground)
Salary up to £20,344

We require a grounds person to carry out all routine tasks of grounds work, horticulture and other operational activities at our award winning facility, Stanley Park Sports Ground.
Reporting to the Head of Leisure Services, the role will support an existing team with an all year round maintenance programme. This can be physical and challenging work in all weathers, so flexibility is key. A driving licence is required.
