Corporate Support Officer
Spinal Column Point 19 to 24, £24,799 to £27,905
Full Time, Town Hall

This is a great opportunity to become part the officer team in an ambitious and forward looking town council. The role requires a highly organised person to provide corporate level confidential support to the Chief Executive and the Corporate Management Team. You will have previous board level Personal Assistant experience and possess the ability to engage, influence, build and maintain constructive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will also be self-motivated, confident, highly organised and have excellent time management skills. Possessing advanced level knowledge of Microsoft products, with the ability to produce high quality documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations. You will be expected to manage small scale projects and take responsibility for coordinating recruitment process across the council.

A good general level of education is required, ideally of graduate calibre but possessing at least an NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration.

Casual Halls Team Member
Town Hall and The Neeld Community and Arts Centre

£8.765 per hour
Hours of work – as required, daytime and evening, weekdays and weekends, including Bank Holidays.

The Neeld Community and Arts Centre hosts a wide range of professional and community events alongside the Town Hall which has a busy schedule of meetings and private hires. Both these venues operate throughout the year as well as being a focal point for civic life in Chippenham.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor or Duty Officer this role supports what we have planned in the building to ensure we present ourselves to best effect, whether that be providing front of house for a professional show or preparations and servicing a room hire. This can be anything from liaising with hires and performers, laying out a room to cleaning up after an event/hire to ensure the facilities are ready for the next user.

We operate 7 days a week, often late nights, the nature of the work is varied and can be physical so flexibility is key to this role. If you are service driven with a proactive and positive approach then we would like to hear from you.
