Chippenham Vintage Carnival 2018 will bring the town centre to life from 12pm on Saturday 14th July with a range of free activities and entertainment on Island Park before this year’s procession, which will take place from 7pm. A climbing wall, zip wire, circus acts, picnic zone, live stage entertainment and more will keep the crowds entertained on Island Park during the day, and there will also be funfair rides available for a small charge and wide range of market stalls for visitors to peruse.

Chippenham Connected Manager, Kathryn Crosweller, said, “Residents’ feedback from last year’s Chippenham Carnival included requests for free parking to enable as many people as possible to enjoy the day, and we’re thrilled that Chippenham Town Council has been able to offer this to the town for this year’s event.

There are plenty of ways for the community to get involved with the town’s Carnival. Local children are able to take part in competitions including Carnival Royalty, a schools’ poetry competition and a fancy dress competition during the day, and all members of the community are invited to take part in the Carnival procession.
