Chippenham Town Council to host Family Fun Day in John Coles Park
The Family Fun Day hosted by Chippenham Town Council and sponsored by John Williams Heating Services returns this year inspired by summer holidays spent at the beach with a hint of the 1980s.
On Saturday 9 June 12noon – 4pm John Coles Park will be transformed into a scene of retro entertainment for all the family. The FREE activities include Donkey rides, Punch & Judy and bouncy castles with a resident DJ for the day playing sounds of the summer from the bandstand. Don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade as there will be sand play areas to make castles. If you are thinking of joining the circus, you can brush up on your circus skills, get your face painted and then have a try at some martial arts in a workshop.
There will also be a selection of local community groups and charity stalls with activities and information about how you can get involved.
You will definitely need something to eat and drink after all of that excitement, this year we have a selection of food stands for ice cream, refreshments and hot and cold yummy food to try. Or you can bring a picnic and settle down next to the Splash Pad while the children cool off under the water jets and fountains
You may need a rest after all that activity, why not relax in the deck chair chill out space and have your photo taken in the giant deck chair.Chippenham Town Councillors will be running their tombola again this year in support of the Mayor’s charity, you can see them at the Chippenham Town Council gazebo.
