Exhibition open from 11 November 2018 until Saturday 26 January 2019, Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm
Chippenham Museum is proud to host Chippenham Town Council’s Commemorative Tapestry Project, which honours the sacrifices and actions of the people of Chippenham during the First World War.
Featuring artwork from the town’s primary and secondary schools, community groups and local artist Fi Redmond, the exhibition explores how the town both supported and commemorated those who fought in the Great War.
The exhibition will also include a number of items in the museum’s collection from Chippenham in the First World War alongside objects loaned from the Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre and members of the public.
This project was made possible by the generous support of Chippenham Town Council, Chippenham Borough Lands Charity and Wiltshire Council’s Area Board.
Chippenham Museum is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. The museum, a Chippenham Town Council Facility, is free to enjoy with two floors of galleries to explore.BACK TO ALL EVENTS
