Education and Learning in the Museum
Our Education service was established in 2002. It excellent
reputation and scope have grown continuously since then. The
galleries and purpose designed education room are accessible to
all. Groups of up to 38 may enjoy the exhibitions, interactive
interpretations, handling collections, activities and
workshops.
Our Education Officer is available to liaise with group leaders
and teachers to ensure best value is made of out facilities.
Community groups may have sessions tailored to their specific
interests, local history, work or leisure based archives, local
personalities, reminiscence, to name a few. Our school programmers
are based on National Curriculum requirements, focussing on skills
based and inter linked learning.
