To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the move of
Chippenham Museum from its former site in the Yelde Hall to
the 'new' Chippenham Museum & Heritage Centre in the Market
Place, we are organising a 10th Anniversary, Archaeology
& History Day School. Sessions will include topics on
subjects such as:
The Myths & Reality
of Maud Heath?
The Wilts & Berks Canal in
Chippenham
Birds Marsh Wood
Roman Calne Project
Landscapes of Corsham &
Box
Chippenham Scandals
Airfields of North
Wiltshire
The Moravian Graveyard Project
at East Tytherton
Review of recent archaeology
in Wiltshire & sites in Chippenham
We shall also be launching the first of our
'Chippenham Studies Series' of local history booklets at the Day
School with the publication of "Birds Marsh Wood
- The Unfinished Story" by Dr Steven
Hunt
The Day School will take place at Chippenham Town Hall, on
Saturday 20th March 2010 from 10.00 am - 16.30
pm
