There was chaos in the centre of Chippenham today 13th Jan due to the closure of the Main Street.
The roads are incredibly busy between 8 and 8.30 due to the large schools at the other side of town and the increasing number of new houses being built in calne adding more cars to the road.
There seems to be no reason to have stalls in the centre of town. They are not popular and don’t add to this part of town. Why are a handful of stall holders being given priority over hundreds of local commuting parents and workers? They could set up at the top of town without disruption to any other commuters.
Thanks for your email, we are gathering all feedback and liaising with Wiltshire Council for the temporary trial road closure,
