Call out for Climate Emergency Advisory Group

Chippenham Town Council are setting up a new Climate Emergency Advisory Group and are now looking for expressions of interest from the local community to join the group.
Made up of 6 members of the public and 6 councillors, the group will arrange its first meeting in the autumn to agree terms of reference.
At the Full Council meeting on 27 March 2019 councillors unanimously agreed to declare a Climate Emergency alongside many other Councils in the country.
On 12 June 2019 at the Strategy and Resources committee, it was agreed to facilitate a Climate Emergency Advisory Group which would consist of a mix of councillors and relevant members of the general public. The group will undertake research and offer advice on possible future policy and strategy and how to implement best practice.

If you have knowledge, skill and experience on the subject of Climate Emergency we would like to hear from you. Please send an expression of interest in the form of a letter no more than 2 sides of A4 to:
